👋 Hi, I'm Dhiya Arvind!

👋 Hi, I'm Dhiya Arvind!

I’m a UX design student at UC San Diego studying Cognitive Science: Design & Interaction,

with a minor in Marketing. My background in cognitive science shapes how I approach design,

grounding creative decisions in human behavior, usability, and empathy.

I learned Figma through the Google UX Design Certificate and continue to develop my skills

through hands-on project work in my UCSD coursework. I’m especially drawn to designing

experiences that balance accessibility and visual pleasure, creating interfaces that are both

inclusive and enjoyable to use.

Beyond design, I serve as the Marketing Chair for UCSD’s Business Council, where I combine

strategy, branding, and storytelling to connect with student audiences. This role has strengthened

my ability to think cross-functionally and design with real-world goals in mind.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me trying new cafés and restaurants (especially anything

matcha), spending time at the beach, traveling, or watching Criminal Minds.
